From Andy and Emma Adams, married 30th May 2009
Hi Mark,
We just wanted to say THANK YOU to you for the dance lessons
for our first dance for our wedding which was on Saturday
30th May.
It went really well as following your advice we practiced at
the hotel where we were going to dance. There were quite a
few surprised guests but lots of cheers afterwards.
Thanks again, We would not hesitate to recommend your
services in the future.
Andy and Emma.

We were
contacted by Annie in September 2006 with the following
request:
I am interested in hiring a dance instructor who would
teach basic dance steps and bring the music and music
playing equipment with them so that we could dance for an
hour or two after lunch. The style of dance is open,
ballroom, Scottish country dancing, or swing.
The majority of people had never
danced Ballroom & Latin American before so the aim was to
give people the confidence to have a go, get people mixing
and keep it light hearted, given the nature of the function.
We received the following email after the event:
Dear Mark,
We are now back in the US and have work to look forward to
tomorrow. I just wanted to say thank you for making our UK
wedding reception so much fun with your dance instruction.
I thought you sized up my relatives and friends of very
mixed dancing abilities effectively and taught us
appropriate dances with a great balance of teaching and
dancing. I loved your low key but witty, amusing
instruction. Even my dad who didn't dance, but got to see
how much everyone was enjoying themselves, finally admitted
that it was a good idea! It really helped everyone get to
know each other and feel part of the event. It was also nice
that it wasn't just a static meal eating affair where people
don't move much from their seats. Many guests have told us
how much they enjoyed it.
Thank you so much
Annie Stockley

From Rachel And Jonathan Haughton,
married 3rd June 2006
We got married in June 2006. It was a fantastic day and
even more so as we were prepared for our first dance.
Jonathan and I decided to have some dancing lessons so that
we wouldn’t be just swaying on the dance floor. We wanted to
look good and also feel good too. We found Mark and
Shannah’s website and went along to some of their weekly
dance lessons. Firstly to see if it was what we wanted to do
and also it ended up being a really good laugh and a
brilliant way of doing something together.
We spoke to Mark about having some private lessons to plan a
dance around the song we had chosen. Along with the weekly
session it was really good as we had an idea of the steps
but also how Mark would teach us.
We had 3 lessons, which Mark taught us, a simple dance
routine (social foxtrot). Each time we improved and enjoyed
how we could dance together without falling over each
other’s feet!
On the day, it went like a dream. The dance routine was fool
proof, so we could dance and enjoy the moment. We asked
other people to join us after a few turns. After the dance,
we knew we’d done really well, and what was really
impressive was the fact that it wasn’t obvious that we’d had
lessons!
I would recommend dance lessons to everyone for their
wedding. It took the heat off us, so we wouldn’t feel
foolish and also it looked really nice and also more
importantly, it felt really nice.
